Christian‑motivated political extremism online among youth in Austria

This study investigates how Christian‑themed narratives intertwine with anti‑democratic rhetoric online, particularly targeting young people in Austria. It seeks to track digital narratives, recruitment strategies and radicalisation pathways across emerging platforms and formats. The project is scientifically charting faith-based radicalisation to support democracy and religious pluralism. Using both content analytics and field interviews, SCENOR aims to reveal how online spaces are adapted for extremist messaging, offering evidence to inform prevention and policy.
